Top Replacement-Prone Parts(3)
From FAA SDR — directional buying signal, not a failure rate
* Structural ATA chapters use FAA K-code change rate. Verb-based propensity is suppressed there because "REPAIRED" in the SDR text usually refers to the airframe being repaired around the part.
Airworthiness Directive activity
FAA / EASA public regulatory data
- FAA AD 2025-06-05effective May 2, 2025Prohibition
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 7X, FALCON 900EX, and FALCON 2000EX airplanes. This AD was prompted by reported occurrences of swelling of the lithium-polymer internal and external batteries of certain electronic display units (EDUs). This AD requires modifying certain EDUs and prohibits the installation of affected parts, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference (IBR). The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
- FAA AD 2024-14-09effective Oct 15, 2024Mixed actions
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2022-02- 10, which applied to certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 7X, FALCON 900EX, and FALCON 2000EX airplanes. AD 2022-02-10 required replacement of certain titanium screws. Since the FAA issued AD 2022-02-10, affected parts have been found in other areas of certain Falcon 7X airplanes as well as in additional Falcon 7X airplanes. This AD continues to require the actions in AD 2022-02-10, adds other locations for screw replacement, and revises the applicability, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
- FAA AD 2024-15-01effective Oct 15, 2024Mixed actions
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-18- 09, which applied to certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 900EX airplanes. AD 2023-18-09 required revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-18- 09, the FAA has determined that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD continues to require certain actions in AD 2023-18-09 and requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations; as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
- FAA AD 2024-14-02effective Sep 25, 2024Mixed actions
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-02- 13, which applied to certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 900EX airplanes. AD 2023-02-13 required revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-02- 13, the FAA has determined that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD continues to require certain actions in AD 2023-02-13 and requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
- FAA AD 2023-18-08effective Nov 7, 2023Mixed actions
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Dassault Aviation Model MYSTERE-FALCON 900, FALCON 900EX, FALCON 2000, and FALCON 2000EX airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of the wing anti-icing (WAI) system leaking in the wing leading edge. This AD requires a one-time inspection of the WAI system, and corrective actions if necessary, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Directives linked to this airframe family in the FAA / EASA regulatory corpus we have processed — not a complete historical AD list. An AD is a compliance requirement that drives scheduled work (inspections, replacements, modifications) across the fleet; inspection directives are not replacement directives, and none of this is a prediction that any part will fail.
