Terms of Service

Acceptance

By accessing or using the AeroParts Intelligence service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service Provides

The Service is a directory and analytics platform for aviation aftermarket parts data. It aggregates and classifies parts data from publicly available sources (FAA databases, distributor catalogs) and presents that data in a searchable, browsable interface.

Not for Safety-Critical Decisions

The data presented by the Service is for informational and commercial-research purposes only. It is not authoritative and must not be used as the sole basis for any airworthiness determination, maintenance disposition, regulatory compliance decision, or any other safety-critical or legally binding action. Always verify applicability, certification status, and supersession against current official sources — FAA records, OEM publications, and the relevant Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) — before acting.

Data Accuracy & No Warranty

We make reasonable efforts to keep the data accurate, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the data is complete, current, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. ATA-chapter classifications, airframe applicability mappings, certification status, and manufacturer attributions are generated through a combination of automated ingestion and algorithmic classification and may contain errors. Always verify any information against official sources before acting on it.

Permitted Use

You may use the Service to search for aviation parts information for legitimate commercial purposes. You may not:
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export data from the Service in a way that materially burdens our infrastructure or competes with the Service.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or repackage the data without express written permission.
  • Use automated tools to submit data, create accounts, or interact with the Service in a manner inconsistent with normal user behavior.

Source Attribution & Intellectual Property

The Service aggregates data from multiple sources, including:
  • FAA databases (PMA approvals, SDR reports, STC records, TCDS), which are public records of the U.S. Government.
  • Publicly accessible distributor catalogs and product listings.
  • Public regulatory and certification filings.
Manufacturer names, part numbers, airframe designations, and similar identifiers may be trademarks of their respective owners. Use of these identifiers in the directory is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

The compilation, classification, and presentation of the data (including ATA-chapter assignments, similarity inferences, and cross-references) are our intellectual property and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

User Content

When user accounts are available, any data you upload (for example, parts lists for business-mix analysis) remains your property. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service to you. We will not sell or share your uploaded data with third parties except as needed to run the Service or as required by law.

Payments

When paid tiers become available, payments will be processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize the relevant recurring charges and agree to Stripe's terms. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact us if you have an issue.

Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend or modify features, or take the Service offline, at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice of material changes.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AeroParts Intelligence and its owners, operators, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) US $100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AeroParts Intelligence and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which AeroParts Intelligence is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction.
